How to Apply

Applications on paper will no longer be accepted. To apply for this scholarship, please do the following:

  1. Read the Requirements to ensure that you qualify.
  2. Complete and submit the Scholarship Application form and all required supplemental materials. Applications will be accepted beginning September 18, 2025 and must be submitted no later than February 19, 2026. Any student who has limited computer access may contact info@gordonrich.org before February 5, 2026 for help.
  3. Taking the ACT and/or SAT and providing test scores is required. Submitted scores will be taken into consideration during the selection process.

Deadline
The application and all supporting materials must be submitted to Scholarship America no later than February 19, 2026 to receive consideration.



News
Big News!
Due to the ever increasing costs of a college education, the GAR Board has generously voted to increase the amount of our scholarship from a maximum of $50,000 to a maximum of $60,000 ($15,000 per year max).

Applications for students who will be high school seniors in 2025 will begin being accepted on September 18, 2025. Completed applications must be received no later than Thursday, February 19, 2026.

College scholarship money is available to offspring of those working in the financial services industry. Each GAR scholarship is awarded to bright, hardworking high school seniors who have a financial need.
Please read the requirements and fill out an application form. The Gordon Rich Foundation provided approximately $300,000 in college scholarships last year. We currently support 28 students in colleges across the country and have 107 alumni. Any questions please email info@gordonrich.org.

Our annual fundraising event will be held in NYC on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Board members, current GAR scholars, GAR scholar graduates and many supporters are all invited. For details please contact info@gordonrich.org.

Requirements
In order to qualify for the GAR scholarship, parents and/or legal guardians of the student applying must have, or had, a career in the financial services industry. Click here for the definition of Financial Services and Master List of Companies.
