How to Apply

Applications on paper will no longer be accepted. To apply for this scholarship, please do the following:

  1. Read the Requirements to ensure that you qualify.
  2. Complete and submit the Scholarship Application form and all required supplemental materials. Applications will be available and accepted beginning September 15th and must be submitted no later than February 20th. Any students that have limited computer access may contact info@gordonrich.org or call 516-428-6350 (the GAR Foundation) on or before February 1st.
  3. Take the ACT or SAT I on or before the December test date. Test scores can be provided by the school official completing the Transcript Information section of the application.

The application and all supporting materials must be submitted to Scholarship Management Services no later than February 20th to receive consideration.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 20, 2020. College scholarship money is available to offspring of those working in the financial services industry. Each GAR scholarship is worth up to $50,000 (approx. $12,500 per year) awarded to bright, hardworking high school seniors who have a financial need.
Please read the requirements and fill out an application form NOW. Application deadline is Feb 20th. The Gordon Rich Foundation provided $236,000 in college scholarships last year. The GAR Foundation currently supports 28 students in colleges across the country and has 53 alumni. Any questions please email info@gordonrich.org or call Joyce Gross at 516-428-6350. The 2019 GAR dinner will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Credit Suisse, One Madison Avenue.

Requirements
In order to qualify for the GAR scholarship, parents and/or legal guardians of the student applying must have, or had, a career in the financial services industry. Click here for the definition of Financial Services and Master List of Companies.
